What gear do I need?
- Nordic blades or speed skates are required. Arrive at the Oval at 9:30am with $5 cash to rent skates them if you don’t have them
- Helmets are strongly recommended
- Dress for the weather

The oval was a venue for the first ever Ice Disco at the Oval, a fundraising event for the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care society on February 12th, 2022. More than $30,000 was raised for this community organization at this event! Click on the image below to read the full article.

The oval hosts regional speed skating events and provides access to long track speed skating ice for the Prince George Blizzard Speed Skating Club.
