Skating & Covid

The situation with COVID-19 is dynamic and the Outdoor Oval Society is following Public Health orders and guidelines. Please pay attention to safety information provided on site. It is especially important that skaters keep to their immediate family groups with no social gathering. Please ensure 2m physical distancing. Our ability to stay open depends on your cooperation.  

Please observe the following safety precautions:

1. One family per table for changing, and when done please move your personal belongings off the table 
   (we suggest a bin or bag)
2. Remember that surfaces are not sanitized
3. Wash/sanitize your hands before and after using common areas
4. Masks recommended until you begin skating​

Limitations to Services due to COVID-19:

1. Canfor House will be closed as we are not able to ensure physical distancing in that facility
2. Skate rentals will not be available this season for safety reasons
3. Ice conditions may be less than ideal, and opening hours may be reduced due to reductions in maintenance schedules to protect our volunteers
