Do you rent skates?
The oval maintains a selection of speed skates and nordic blades for rent for its users. We do not rent hockey skates or figure skates. While you're here, why not give speed skates a try?
Why are hockey sticks, pucks and nets not allowed?
The oval is meant to be a safe and inclusive place for all types of skaters. Hockey equipment is not permitted because moving sticks and pucks, or games of hockey, can put other skaters at risk, especially young children and older adults. Please enjoy a game of hockey at one of the 27 outdoor community rinks in Prince George.
Can I skate with my dog?
Unfortunately not. Our volunteer ice crew works very hard to build and maintain the ice. Please enjoy one of Prince George's many on and off-leash pet areas.
